Re-

I have found great comfort lately in considering the deep grammar behind the word redemption.  Put simply, for something to be redeemed, the implication is that it was at one time deemed.  This pattern follows with God's history, as He one-ups himself in profound ways.  In the beginning, God created.  Now, through the revelation of Jesus as Lord and Savior, he recreates.  In the beginning, God deemed of His creation - "it is good."  Now, he redeems. Through Christ, creation is once again made "good."
